CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of March 27, 2017 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of 12 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval of . <br />the Part -Time Code Compliance Officer (A36) position. <br />Audience Participation: The following individual came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />1. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, expressed concerns about Items E and F <br />relating to the purchase of corrosion inhibitors and repairs to the Melody Lane water tower. <br />No one else came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />c <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote 5-0. <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported she had attended a meeting of the group on Thursday, March 2, 2017 and shared <br />information from the meeting, including: a request from Mayor McDonald of the City of Maitland to work <br />with the City of Casselberry to find solutions to slowing traffic on the U.S. Highway 17-92 corridor through <br />the two cities, in light of the addition of so many new apartment units being constructed in both cities; <br />and the I-4 Ultimate Project being now less than five years fi•om expected completion. She stated that a <br />presentation had been given by Florida's Turnpike Enterprise staff giving an overview of the partnership <br />between the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise and Florida Polytechnic <br />University to develop the SunTrax Test Facility, a state of the art testing and research facility dedicated to the <br />research, development and testing of emerging transportation technologies, including the use of cell phones to <br />pay tolls and automated vehicles. She added that there was also a presentation on bicycle and pedestrian crash <br />analysis. <br />C. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />No report. <br />
