CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 24, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 11 <br />Advised that Early Voting had begun today, October 24, 2016 and would run through <br />Sunday, November 6, 2016. She added that if any of the Commissioners received inquiries <br />from citizens relating to the election or voting process they could be referred to the City Clerk. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />Reported he had attended the Howl -O -Ween Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume <br />Contest at Secret Lake Park on Saturday, October 22, 2016. The event was hosted by <br />and was a fundraiser for Franklin's Friends, an all -volunteer nonprofit organization <br />whose mission is to support Central Florida animal welfare by fundraising for local <br />nonprofit and government agencies dedicated to Shelter/Rescue, Spay/Neuter, or <br />Community Education programs. <br />Advised he would be unable to attend the Seminole County Commission meeting on <br />November 15, 2016 as he would be out of town all that week. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />Reported that the Lakes District Advisory Board meetings were going well. <br />Mentioned there would be a focus group meeting for the Parks Master Plan on Tuesday, <br />October 25, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. and a public meeting on November 15, 2016, both being <br />coordinated by the City's consultant to gain input for preparation of the City's Parks Master <br />Plan. Mayor Glancy requested that the Commission be kept informed of the progress being <br />made on the Plan and Mr. Newlon advised he would obtain information from staff and <br />provide it to the Commission. In response to inquiries about a timeline for the preparation of <br />the Master Plan, Recreation Manager Linda Moore advised that she anticipated a tentative <br />completion date for the Plan sometime in February of 2017. <br />Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Reported he had attended the Tri -County League of Cities meeting on Thursday, October 20, <br />2016 hosted by the City of Winter Springs. He stated that former Vice Mayor Colleen <br />Hufford and outgoing Deputy Mayor Joanne Krebs of the City of Winter Springs had been <br />honored for their years of service. <br />
