CASSLLBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of October 24, 2016 — Regular Meeting Page I1 of 11 Reported he had also attended the Museum of Seminole County History New Exhibit Reception on Thursday, October 20, 2016 for the new exhibit entitled "Forgotten Foundations: Traditions and Technologies of Florida's Past Peoples" which included an actual pioneer house which he said was no bigger than his closet. He stated he was amazed that entire families used to live in such a small space. Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5: • Reported she had enjoyed sharing dinner with visiting artist Milos Saric, his wife Sonja and Dr. Gordana Pesakovic, Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Business Programs atHerzing University Orlando. She again expressed excitement for the cultural bridge -building City staff and Dr. Pesakovic had done in bringing Mr. Saric and his sculpture to the City of Casselberry. She thanked all who had a part in making this a successful venture and expressed hope that this would be only the first of many bridges that the City builds around the world with exchanges of sculpture and artwork. Commissioner Solomon added that along those same lines, Dr. Ken Hanson, head of the Judaic Studies Department at UCF, was coordinating donation of a large number of books from her late husband Irving Teitelbaum's private library to the University of Ukraine. • Reminded everyone of the following upcoming events: o City Tree Lighting Ceremony at Lake Concord Park on Saturday, December 3, 2016, 6-8 p.m. o Santa Run, December 6, 7, 8, 2016, times and routes to be announced later o Santa appearance at Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar on Friday, December 2, 2016, 6-9 p.m. 18.
