Resolution 16-2913 - Adoption of Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 16-2913 by title as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE FINAL <br />BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING <br />OCTOBER 1, 2016 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2017; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Resolution 16-2913 and summary budget <br />were advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in accordance with the "Truth in <br />Millage" (TRIM) legislation. <br />Presentation: Mayor Glancy announced that the presentation for this item was heard with the previous public <br />hearing on the millage rate. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated that this was a public hearing to consider comments and questions <br />regarding the City's proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. Mayor Glancy opened the floor for public <br />participation. No one came forward. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Resolution 16-2913. <br />Budget Impact: The final Budget requested for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 for the City of Casselberry remains at <br />$46,975,816. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended adoption of Resolution 16- <br />2913 and the final Operating Budget for the City of Casselberry for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 totaling <br />$46,975,816. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution 16-2913 establishing the <br />Final Budget for the City of Casselberry totaling $46,975,816 for Fiscal year <br />2016-2017, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />Mayor Glancy announced that the City of Casselberry has adopted a final budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />A. Appointment of Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) <br />Representative and Alternate Representative <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to appoint Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia as <br />the City's Representative and Commissioner Bill Hufford as the City's <br />Alternate Representative to CALNO (Council of Local Governments in <br />Seminole County). Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />
