Resolution 16-2913 - Adoption of Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 The City Clerk read Resolution 16-2913 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2016 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2017; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Resolution 16-2913 and summary budget were advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in accordance with the "Truth in Millage" (TRIM) legislation. Presentation: Mayor Glancy announced that the presentation for this item was heard with the previous public hearing on the millage rate. Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated that this was a public hearing to consider comments and questions regarding the City's proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. Mayor Glancy opened the floor for public participation. No one came forward. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Resolution 16-2913. Budget Impact: The final Budget requested for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 for the City of Casselberry remains at $46,975,816. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended adoption of Resolution 16- 2913 and the final Operating Budget for the City of Casselberry for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 totaling $46,975,816. MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution 16-2913 establishing the Final Budget for the City of Casselberry totaling $46,975,816 for Fiscal year 2016-2017, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. Mayor Glancy announced that the City of Casselberry has adopted a final budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. 12. OTHER ITEMS A. Appointment of Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Representative and Alternate Representative MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to appoint Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia as the City's Representative and Commissioner Bill Hufford as the City's Alternate Representative to CALNO (Council of Local Governments in Seminole County). Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0.
