CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 22, 2016 —Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 of 17 <br />accrued to $8,950.00. Mr. Woodruff advised that the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate entered an order <br />on July 14, 2016 recommending a reduction of the lien from $8,950.00 to $2,500.00 due to the following <br />findings: 1) the subject property had gone into foreclosure two months after the City's lien was filed; 2) the <br />current owner was not the violator; 3) Counsel for current property owner Fairwinds Credit Union at the time <br />of filing of the foreclosure action had failed to file a lis pendens in the case and due to this oversight the City <br />was unaware of the foreclosure; 4) there have been no further violations on the subj ect property to date; and 5) <br />administrative costs in the amount of $495.12 were paid to the City when the request for reduction was <br />submitted. <br />Budget Impact: Revenue has been budgeted in FY 2016 for Code Enforcement lien payments in the <br />General Fund Violations of Local Ordinances/Code Enforcement revenue account #001-0000-354.20-00. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Interim Community Development Director recommended <br />approval of the Special Magistrate's recommendation to reduce the lien on Case CE -10-02219 from $8,950 to <br />$2,500. <br />Audience participation: No one came forward. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Meadows moved to approve the recommendation of the Special <br />Magistrate to reduce the lien in Case No. CE -10-02219 from $8,950.00 to <br />$2,500.00, to be paid within 60 days or the lien would revert to the original <br />amount. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hufford. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Information Report for the period 07/01/2016 through 07/31/2016 <br />The Procurement Information Report for the period 06/01/2016 through 06/30/2016 was included in the <br />agenda packet for the Commissioners' review. <br />Reminded everyone of the following upcoming events: <br />81h Annual Swing `Fore' the Arts Golf Tournament at Casselberry Golf Club, Friday, <br />and Saturday, September 9-10, 2016, a fundraiser for the City's arts programs; <br />Latin Jazz and Art Festival at Secret Lake Park, Saturday, September 10, 2016; <br />Rock n' Run 5K event at Secret Lake Park, Saturday, September 17, 2016; <br />
