CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes of July 25, 2016 —Regular Meeting
Page 15 of 17
decorum. No one came forward.
Advised that the Procurement Information Report for the period 06/01/2016 through
06/30/2016 was included in the agenda packet for the Commissioners' review.
Congratulated Randy Woodruff and thanked him for taking on the challenge of the Interim
Community Development Director position.
Reminded the Commissioners of the FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation)
Alternatives Public Meeting for SR 436 Concept Development Study which would be held in
the Commission Chambers on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
Advised that in response to the Commission's request for her to report back with information
about tattoo regulations, she was unable to give many specifics. She stated that a great
number of the codes in the jurisdictions she researched did not specifically reference tattoo
facilities, but included them with other similar uses. She noted that it did not seem to be a
focal point of any jurisdiction's code. She added that the City of Casselberry's Code had
made it a focal point because it was specifically indicated as a non-traditional use which was
similar to what the City of Sanford does. However, when she spoke with the Sanford Planner
he was not really aware of the change in the law, so she could not say what they would do.
She concluded that it appeared that most cities had kept their codes very general and had not
felt a need to make a change.
16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT
No report.
17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS
Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1:
No report.
Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2
Congratulated Randy Woodruff on his appointment as Interim Community Development
Director.
