CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments, Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />Reported that approximately a year ago the Commission had approved a settlement in the red <br />light camera litigation and one of the requirements was that a portion ofthe settlement amount <br />be designated for the benefit of a charity to be selected by the City. He stated that his <br />recommendation was to select Keep Seminole Beautiful to receive the funds, noting it was an <br />organization which worked closely with Friends of the Park on various beneficial local <br />activities. <br />A brief discussion ensued during which it was clarified that the amount going to the charity <br />would be 25% of the balance remaining after all distributions had been made in the red light <br />camera class action litigation, and the Commission was assured that Keep Seminole Beautiful <br />would use the funds to benefit the Casselberry community. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Meadows moved to select Keep Seminole Beautiful as <br />the designated charity to receive the funds from the red light camera <br />class action litigation which were required to be given to a charity <br />under the terms of the Settlement Agreement. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5- <br />0. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Advised she had quickly looked up regulations relating to sober homes and found that at this <br />point registration for these types of homes is strictly voluntary. <br />Reported that a settlement agreement had been executed in the litigation with Cambridge <br />Oaks Shopping Center over the billboard issue. She advised that under the agreement the <br />billboard was scheduled to come down in January 2017. She stated the agreement would <br />come before the Commission for approval at the next regular Commission meeting. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />
