CASSELBLRRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 27, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 15 of 16 <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Stated that Friends of the Park would be very happy to partner with Keep Seminole Beautiful <br />to utilize the red light camera litigation funds towards additional positive projects in the City. <br />Requested that Ms. Reischmann check with some of the South Florida cities such as Coral <br />Gables and Boca Raton regarding how they are handling the body art establishment issue. <br />Ms. Reischmann advised she would do that and bring back a report to the Commission. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />Commended Chief Krantz for the promotion ceremony held earlier in the day to recognize <br />Commander Nas and Commander Schaefer for their promotion in rank to the two newly <br />created Commander positions. <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon - Seat No. 3: <br />Reported she had attended the Veterans of Casselberry Club event on Saturday, June 25, 2016 <br />honoring Casselberry Police Officer Megan Colburn as Officer of the Year for her efforts in <br />being proactive in keeping the City's nighttime roadways safe from drivers under the <br />influence. She added that it was a very nice event and she was very proud of the Casselberry <br />Police Department and Officer Colburn. <br />Vice Mayor Colleen Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />Congratulated Commander Mike Schaefer and Commander Bill Nas on their recent <br />promotions. <br />Advised she and her husband would not be attending the Annual League of Cities Conference <br />after all so she would not be able to act as the City's voting delegate. <br />Expressed some concerns about what she considered to be the proliferation of smoke shops in <br />the City, and requested that staff perform a study to see how many are in the City and how <br />they affect neighboring businesses, and research to see what type of regulations may be <br />needed. Mr. Newlon advised he would have staff research the issue. <br />Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />Thanked Chief Krantz for the nice promotion ceremony he provided for the new <br />Commanders, and also thanked him for all he and his department do for the City. <br />Commended Finance Director Rebecca Bowman and her staff for their preparation of the <br />Popular Annual Finance Report (PAFR). <br />
