CASSELBERRY CITY COMbIISSION <br />Minutes of May 23, 2016 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 15 <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report <br />No report. <br />C. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />Mayor Glancy advised that Commissioner Anthony Aramendia and Recreation Programs & Events Supervisor <br />Lynn Hoppes graduated as part of Leadership Seminole Class 25. <br />D. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported that the main topic of the last meeting was homelessness, and Seminole County <br />Commissioner John Horan gave a report of the presentation which had been heard by the Board of County <br />Commissioners at its last meeting. She advised that a copy of the report had already been provided to each of <br />the Commissioners so she would not go over the details. She further advised that Superintendent Walt Griffin <br />announced that the School District had mailed 27,000 flyers to students throughout the County who qualified <br />for free and reduced lunches advising them of an opportunity for low-cost internet access which was being <br />federally funded in order to aid these students in having access to this important technology. She stated that <br />Superintendent Griffin had also reported on the grand opening of the Seminole County Sports Complex and <br />the groundbreaking for the softball fields at Soldier's Creek. She added that Commissioner Horan had advised <br />that the Board of County Commissioners had given the go-ahead to the design team for the Oxford Road <br />design. Mayor Glancy also advised that this meeting was the last one for the Mayors/Managers Group for the <br />remainder of the summer. <br />E. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO)Report <br />Vice Mayor Hufford advised the next meeting would be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, which would also <br />be the last meeting before the summer break. <br />F. Seminole County Redevelopment Planning _Agenc�Report <br />Commissioner Solomon advised that the next meeting would be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />
