Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution 15 -2720. F. Resolution 15 -2721 — Amendment #10 to the Agreement for General Construction Management at Risk for Projects Less than $2 Million with Wharton - Smith, Inc. for Construction of the Water Reclamation Facility Overhaul Project and Related Budget Amendment #15 -039 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT 910 WITH WHARTON- SMITH, INC. FOR THE WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY OVERHAUL PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 15 -2721 approves Amendment #10 to the agreement for General Construction Management at Risk for Projects Less than $2 Million with Wharton- Smith, Inc. for additional construction services in the amount of $555,013.28 associated with the WRF (Water Reclamation Facility) aeration system improvements, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Budget Impact: This project, though significant in cost, constitutes repair and maintenance. Additional funding is needed in the Repairs and Maintenance account to fully fund these additional services. Approval of Budget Amendment #15 -039 will decrease the following accounts in the Water & Sewer Fund Water Reclamation division: Machinery & Equipment account #401 - 0753 - 535.67 -35 - $167,000, decrease the Water Production Repairs & Maintenance account #401- 0754 - 533.46 -00 - $172,000 and decrease the Distribution & Collection Infrastructure account #401- 0751 - 536.63 -40 - $146,014. The Water Reclamation Repairs & Maintenance account #401- 0753 - 535.46 -00 will be increased $485,014. BA #15 -039 Explanation of Request: This Budget Amendment re- appropriates funding to cover costs associated with Amendment #10 to the General Construction Management at Risk for Projects Less than $2M agreement with Wharton- smith, Inc. Amendment 910, in the amount of $555,013.28, provides for various repairs and improvements at the Water Reclamation Facility. This budget amendment will re- appropriate additional funding to support this work.
