CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 27,2015 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 17 of 19 <br />- Attempt to market the property to one master developer in order to bring in a quality project <br />consistent with the City's design guidelines that can be committed for the entire site. <br />- List the price at $1.7 million. <br />- No longer will market under the branding of "Idea Park ", as the property be marketed as one <br />parcel and the "Idea Park" branding no longer has the same value. <br />- Be prepared to pay a 3% commission to a broker representing a buyer, if necessary. <br />Discussion: Discussion ensued regarding standard commissions for this type of transaction and possible <br />negotiation of commission depending upon the proposed project on the site, and the differences between <br />commercial and industrial zoning designations. <br />Mr. Newlon advised that if the Commission agreed to the proposed marketing plan, he and Mr. Triece would <br />work to get the property listed tomorrow, get signage.up, and see where it leads. <br />CONSENSUS: The Commission agreed by consensus to accept the proposed marketing plan <br />and to direct the City Manager to engage The Triece Company to market the <br />property under the marketing plan as presented. <br />Budget Impact: Should a contract for sale be approved by the City Commission, an amendment will also be <br />approved to recognize the budget impact. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br />1. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, suggested looking into the possibility of <br />marking the industrial park as a ground lease rather than a sale, and voiced some concerns <br />about the legislative process in Tallahassee. <br />2. Ms. Patsy Christian, 1003 Seventh Sheet, expressed concerns about information she had <br />received indicating there may possibly have been some racial slurs made by some employees <br />within the Police Department and unfair treatment of some minority employees within the <br />Police Department. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />• Advised he was exploring the possibility of obtaining a bank loan to repay Seminole County for the <br />advance funding of the Oxford Road improvements and he would present additional information to the <br />Commission for consideration as it became available. <br />
