CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />• Advised that the Florida Supreme Court had ruled that the solar energy ballot initiative met legal <br />standards so the conservative organization that created the petition could now proceed to collect <br />signatures to get the issue on the 2016 ballot. She stated that the Florida League of Cities opposes the <br />measure, as it would disrupt city revenues from the public service tax if it passed. <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Thanked everyone who attended the Founder's Day event on Friday, October 9, 2015 which included <br />the Founder's Day tree planting, the Wachovia Bank mural unveiling, and the outdoor sculpture award <br />ceremony walk. He expressed special thanks to Friends of the Park and Mr. Bill Hufford for their <br />efforts in making this a successful event and to the donors who made planting of the Founder's Day <br />tree possible. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2 <br />Stated he had enjoyed being a judge for the second year for the Howl- O -Ween event at Secret lake <br />Park on Saturday, October 24, 2015 which was a great event. He added that he had also received a lot <br />of positive feedback from attendees on how beautiful the park was and how well the event was run. <br />He expressed thanks to all the staff who had prepared the park for the event. <br />Advised that he had played golf recently at the Casselberry Golf Club and was pleased to report that <br />he noticed a definite improvement in the course, especially on the greens. <br />Briefly responded to Mr. Littrell's earlier comments about the meeting start time, stating he agreed the <br />meetings should start later to allow the opportunity for more citizen participation. <br />Commissioner Colleen Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />• Thanked Friends of the Park for helping to make the Founder's Day event such a success. <br />• Invited everyone to attend the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce Food and Wine Festival at Secret <br />Lake Park on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 6 -9 p.m. She advised that the proceeds of the silent <br />auction would go to the Casselberry Care Cabin, scholarships for graduating seniors in the community, <br />and the Casselberry Art House for its citizen programs. <br />
