Seminole County Redevelopment Planning Agency Report <br />No report. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />A. Ordinance 15 -1431 — Amending and Restating the City of Casselberry Police <br />Officers' and Firefighters' Pension Plan <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 15 -1431 by title as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING AND RESTATING <br />CHAPTER 62, PENSIONS AND RETIREMENT, ARTICLE 1, POLICE OFFICERS' AND <br />FIREFIGHTERS' PENSION PLAN, SECTIONS 62 -2001 THROUGH 62 -2030, OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR <br />SEVERABILITY OF PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Finance Director Rebecca Bowman gave an overview of Ordinance 15 -1431, explaining <br />that it provided for a comprehensive pension plan update to the section in the Code pertaining to the pension <br />plan. She advised that there were several reasons for the plan update, including: changes mandated by the <br />Division of Retirement Services (DRS) during the last legislative session through Senate Bill 172; the <br />Interlocal Agreement for Fire Consolidation with Seminole County to change some wording and include some <br />of the stipulations contained in the contract; and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) administrative changes. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval of Ordinance 15- <br />143 1 on first reading. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Ordinance 15 -1431. <br />
