Future Agenda Items <br />Commissioner Hufford suggested that the Commission should have a workshop or discussion regarding the <br />invocation portion of the meetings. The Commission agreed by consensus to bring the issue back for <br />discussion at a future workshop or regular meeting. <br />Vice Mayor Solomon requested that the issue of the Seminole State College banners be brought back up for <br />discussion. Mr. Newlon advised he would follow up and bring updated information back to the Commission <br />for future discussion. <br />Commissioners Meadows and Hufford suggested that a workshop for master planning should be scheduled in <br />the near future. Commissioner Aramendia added that he would also like to see the City moving forward on <br />some of the projects recommended by the Neighborhood Task Force, such as North Winter Park Drive and <br />Duck Pond. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan ) Report <br />No report. <br />C. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />Mayor Glancy advised she had attended a meeting on Friday, October 23, 2015 and also gave a brief report on <br />her participation in Education Day at Casselberry Elementary School and South Seminole Middle School last <br />month. She further advised that that the Board had decided to include one year of alumni membership in the <br />cost of the Leadership Seminole Class to encourage students ofthe classes to continue their involvement after <br />graduation from their class. She reported that the task force on homelessness was also still meeting to consider <br />options that will work in Seminole County, and shared some information about the Rapid Rehousing Program <br />which has approximately an 80% success rate nationwide. <br />D. Mayors /Managers Group Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported the group had met on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 and a presentation had been made by <br />Seminole County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Dennis Lemma about the state of the Sheriff's Office. She <br />briefly shared some of the information covered in the presentation such as population and crime rate statistics; <br />the Re -Entry Rehabilitation Program for jail inmates; the Shop with the Sheriff program which allows local <br />underprivileged children to shop for school supplies and have lunch with a deputy; the Sheriff's Office Youth <br />Academy; and details about their new state of the art helicopter. <br />
