The Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations, Part III, Chapter II, Article VII, <br />Section 2 -7.26, "Seminola Boulevard Overlay District (SB -2) Design Guidelines ", Section D., "General Design Criteria ", <br />Section 1, "General Provisions ", shall be amended as follows: <br />SECTION Vl. The Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations, Part III, Chapter II, Article VII, <br />Section 2 -7.26, "Seminola Boulevard Overlay District (SB -2) Design Guidelines ", Section D., "General Design Criteria ", <br />Section 2, "General Site Guidelines ", shall be amended as follows: <br />2. General Site Guidelines <br />a. Landscaping. The location of landscaping can dramatically impact the overall appearance of a <br />development. Landscaping shall be used to enhance the architectural design of buildings and open <br />spaces throughout the district. Landscape requirements for sites within SB -2 shall be in accordance with <br />ULDR Article XIII unless superseded by the following criteria. <br />(3) Schools: PlaseGef- weF6ip ► Shall adhere to the general requirements of ULDR Article XIII. <br />b. Lighting <br />Outdoor lighting shall be in accordance with ULDR Section 3 -10.2, Lighting Standards, and shall be <br />provided to enhance the appearance of non - residential buildings, to promote pedestrian and vehicular <br />safety, and to avoid adverse impacts such as glare on residential areas. <br />• A comprehensive street lighting program utilizing decorative streetlight fixtures shall be approved for <br />each development that must be compatible with the overall design of the SB -2 development. <br />• Lighting may be used to emphasize key architectural and landscape features. <br />• In residential areas, streetlights shall be spaced an average of 100 feet on- center. <br />• In the mixed use and commercial areas, streetlights shall be spaced an average of 60 -75 feet on- <br />center. <br />• Outdoor snorts complexes: Lighting levels for competition play fields shall be in accordance with <br />state guidelines for the level of play. High mast lighting should be shielded so as to minimize adverse <br />impacts such as glare on residential areas. <br />Page 5 of 9 <br />Ordinance 07 -1228 <br />
