Credited Service, but in any event the minimum amount paid to the Member shall <br />be 65 percent of the Average Final Compensation of the Member. <br />Terminated persons, either vested or non - vested, are not eligible for <br />disability benefits, exeept that these teft mated by the Gity for .v wide, feasens <br />may apply for a disability w ithi., 30 days afte f +efminati .r Notwithstanding the <br />previous sentence: <br />M if a member is terminated by the city for medical reasons, the terminated <br />person may apply for a disability benefit if the application is filed with the <br />board within thirty (30) days from the date of termination. If a timely <br />application is received, it shall be processed and the terminated person <br />shall be eligible to receive a disability benefit if the board otherwise <br />determines that he is totally and permanently disabled as provided for <br />above. <br />2i if a member has resigned from employment or separated from <br />employment in connection with the resolution of a worker's compensation <br />claim with the city and has, prior to such resignation or separation, applied <br />for a disability pension, then such person's application shall continue to be <br />processed and he shall be eligible to receive a disability benefit if the <br />board otherwise determines that he is totally and permanently disabled as <br />provided for above. <br />(c) Disability benefits not-in -line of duo). Any Member with six years or more <br />Credited Service who shall become totally and permanently disabled to the extent <br />that he is unable, by reason of a medically determinable physical or mental <br />impairment, to render useful and efficient service as a Police Officer or <br />Firefighter, which disability is not directly caused by the performance of his <br />duties as a Police Officer or Firefighter shall, upon establishing the same to the <br />Ordinance 14 -1410 <br />Page 2 <br />
