CITY COMMISSION
February 1, 1993
Page 6
MOTION: Mr. Henson moved, Mr. McMullen seconded,
and motion carried unanimously to approve and
adopt Ordinance 754 on second and final
reading.
The Commission was polled on the motion as follows:
Mr. McMullen - Yes; Mr. Henson - Yes; Mr. Sheppard - Yes; Mr. Hillebrandt - Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION: Mr. McMullen moved, Mr. Henson seconded,
and motion carried unanimously to close the
Public Hearings.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
The Mayor asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to come and bring forth a
matter to the Commission. The following individuals came forward:
1) Ruth Riebel, 648 Northshore Circle, inquired if any Commission Members
had reviewed the documents she had provided regarding Northshore. Mayor
Hillebrandt, Commission McMullen, and Commissioner Henson stated they
intended to review the documents, but have not done so as of yet. Mrs. Riebel
asked again that the City find an alternative solution to the Northshore road
problems, other than a special assessment.
2) Lois Bak, 698 Ashley Court, was opposed to Resolution 722. She stated that
the Northshore homeowners cannot make a fully informed decision regarding the
road reconstruction, with the information provided by the City. Mrs. Bak also
stated that several homeowners had received conflicting information from City
Hall, in that the City Manager's office said the amount due would appear on the
annual tax bill, and the City Clerk's office reported it was a special assessment
and would be billed separately.
3) Janet Krikorian, 678 Brydie Court, asked the Commission to reconsider the
ordinance which allows water to be pumped out of lakes for irrigation. She stated
Northshore was planning on installing pumps, and felt the practice would deplete
North Lake Triplet.
