Attention Getting Devices: Any pennant, feather flag, valance, banner, propeller, spinner, streamer, search <br />light, balloon, statue, vehicle or similar device or ornamentation designed for or having the effect of attracting <br />attention, promotion or advertising. <br />Banner sign: A temporary sign either enclosed or not enclosed in a 4dge4 ri'id frame and secured or <br />mounted to allow movement caused by the atmosphere. Flags are not banners. <br />Feather flags: A lightweight temporary advertising medium, mounted on a pole, that resembles a sail. <br />Flag: Any fabric, or similar material, or bunting containing distinct colors, patterns or symbols, used as an <br />ornamental flag or as a symbol of government, political subdivision, corporation or business or other entity <br />and which is not a banner and which is placed on a permitted permanent flagpole or flagpole holder which is <br />permanently attached to the primary structure. <br />Political campaign signs: ^ sign which identifies a non /di/date fer eientien to publin effine A temporary sign <br />erected or displayed for the purpose of expressing support for or opposition to a candidate or stating a <br />position regarding an issue upon which the voters of the City shall vote. <br />SECTION 2. That Section 3 -16.4, On- premises temporary sign regulations, Part III Unified Land <br />Development Regulations, Chapter III Performance Criteria, Article XVI Signs, of the Code of Ordinances of <br />the City of Casselberry, Florida shall be amended as follows: <br />A. Portable signs General Criteria <br />The following criteria apply to all temporary signs unless otherwise enumerated within this Article: <br />1. Residential Districts: <br />a. Maximum copy area per sign. 6 square feet. <br />b. Maximum number of signs. Five (5). <br />c. Maximum overall height. 5 feet. <br />d. Placement. <br />i. Setbacks. At least 10 feet away from the edge of roadway and not within a utility <br />easement. <br />ii. Signs shall not be placed in a public right -of -way, attached to trees, utility poles, or <br />any structure. Signs placed in a public right -of -way will be cause for revocation of <br />any permit, if applicable, and may be removed. <br />iii. Signs shall be placed in a manner which does not obstruct the view in any direction <br />at a street, road, access drive, alleyway, intersection, or any other traveled way. <br />2. Non - Residential Districts: <br />a. Maximum copy area per premises. 50 square feet. <br />b. Maximum overall height. 10 feet. <br />c. Placement. <br />i. Setbacks. At least 10 feet away from the edge of roadway and not within a utility <br />easement. <br />ii. Signs shall not be placed in a public right -of -way, attached to trees, utility poles. or <br />any structure. Signs placed in a public right -of -way will be cause for revocation of <br />any permit, if applicable, and may be removed. <br />iii.
