Resolution 13 -2531— Award of Bid and Agreement with The Middlesex Corporation for the Road Rehabilitation Areas 1 -3 Project and Related Budget Amendment 413- 073 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF BID FOR RFP #020130003 AND EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MIDDLESEX CORPORATION FOR THE CASSELBERRY ROAD REHABILITATION AREAS 1 -3 PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 13 -2531 awards the bid for RFP #C20130003 to, and approves the Agreement with, The Middlesex Corporation in the amount of $1,973,345.55 for construction of the Road Rehabilitation Areas 1 -3 Project, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Consideration of related budget Amendment #13 -073 is also requested. Budget Impact: $1,467,005 is readily available in Capital Improvement Fund account #305- 0720 - 541.63 -40 for Road Rehabilitation for Areas 1 -3. Budget Amendment #13 -073 will allocate an additional $506,341 to this project from the Capital Improvement Fund, for a total budget impact of $1,973,346. BA #13 -073 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide additional funding for costs associated with the City -wide pavement management project (Road Rehabilitation Project Areas 1 -3). Middlesex Corporation provided the lowest, responsible quote in the amount of $1,973,345.55. Funding for this project was originally budgeted in the amount of $1,606,000.00. However, consulting fees associated with this project reduced the original budget by $138,995.00 leaving a remaining balance of $1,467,005.00 available to support construction. Therefore, an additional $506,340.55 is being requested in order to enter into an agreement with Middlesex Corporation to perform this work. Resolution 13 -2532 — Solid Waste Consumer Price Index Rate Adjustment for Waste Pro of Florida "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF A RATE ADJUSTMENT FOR FUEL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COOPERATIVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION WITH WASTE PRO OF FLORIDA, INC.; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE."
