CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. <br />1. Ms. Lizette Fuentes, 1509 Cloverbay Lane, spoke in support of the City Center project. <br />2. Brian Kline, 1193 Frangipani Way, spoke in support of the City Center project. <br />3. Steve Ferguson, 8318 Moonlit Lane, requested clarification about the definition of "luxury" as <br />it related to the proposed apartments in the City Center project. <br />4. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, expressed concerns about wooden <br />construction due to fire hazards and the potential for deterioration, and also requested <br />clarification as to whether the individuals who drew up the plans for the proposed project <br />were City employees or subcontractors. He stated he also thought the Commission should <br />reject the idea of demolishing the Public Works building. <br />Mayor Glancy advised that any questions would have to be addressed after the meeting. <br />Mr. James Fraleigh, 23 Teresa Court, voiced various concerns including what he perceived to <br />be poor work done on the water re -pipe project on Derbyshire; back pay for City employees; <br />dumping of dirt on Teresa Court; the negative impact ofthe US 17 -92 /SR 436 flyover project; <br />the City Center project; and the use of City funds for events. He reiterated his previous <br />request that a citizens' review board be created. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />Clarified that advertising for the City's events is provided by the Orlando Sentinel at no cost to the <br />City. <br />Advised that litigation was still pending on the lawsuit filed by the golf course owners trying to <br />overturn the forfeiture clause in their deed. He further advised that he had been contacted by the <br />owners to see if there was a possibility of working with the City to resolve the issue or perhaps even to <br />sell the golf course to the City. He stated he wanted to make the Commission aware of this and let <br />them know he would listen to the owners and report back to the Commission when he had more <br />information. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />• Requested that a Special Meeting /Attorney- Client Session be tentatively scheduled for October 14, <br />2013 immediately prior to the regular Commission meeting, if practicable, for the purpose of <br />discussing strategy and potential ways to effect an acceptable resolution of the legal issues and <br />potential savings of litigation costs in Casselberry Golf Company vs. City of Casselberry, Case No. <br />
