Resolution 13 -2533 — Adoption of Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 The City Clerk read Resolution 13 -2533 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2013 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2014; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Resolution 13 -2533 and summary budget were advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on September 19, 2013 in accordance with the "Truth in Millage" (TRIM) legislation. Presentation: Mayor Glancy announced that the presentation for this item was heard with the previous public hearing on the millage rate. Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated that this was a public hearing to consider comments and questions regarding the City's proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014, Mayor Glancy opened the floor for public participation. The following individual came forward: Mr. James Fraleigh, 23 Teresa Court, spoke in opposition to the proposed budget, stating the City was to provide basic services for its citizens and he felt some of the expenditures in the budget were for unnecessary projects. No one else came forward. Mayor. Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Resolution 13 -2533. Budget Impact: The final Budget requested for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 for the City of Casselberry remains at $49,002,485. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended adoption of Resolution 13- 2533 and the final Operating Budget for the City of Casselberry for the Fiscal Year 2013 -2014 totaling $49,002,485. MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve Resolution 13 -2533 establishing the Final Budget for the City of Casselberry totaling $49,002,485 for Fiscal year 2013 -2014, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4 -0. Mayor Glancy announced that the City of Casselberry has adopted a final budget for Fiscal Year 2013 -2014. 12. OTHER ITEMS No items were presented for consideration on this agenda.
