In addition, this budget amendment will recognize grant revenue of <br />$72,000 in the 2012 A FG Trailer Grant account #001- 0000 - 331.21 -01 and provide an additional budget of <br />$80,000 in the Other Equipment account #001- 0320 - 524.35 -00. <br />BA #13 -050 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the purchase of a <br />public fire safety education trailer in the amount of $80,000 with the assistance of the 2011 Fire Prevention and <br />Safety Grant. The grant provides for $72,000 in proceeds, with a required City match of $8,000. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 5 -0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Vice Mayor Solomon shared some concerns from a citizen regarding lakefront properties which were not being <br />maintained and requested that possible solutions to the problems be addressed as a future agenda item. <br />Discussion: A lengthy discussion ensued regarding the various issues with the lakefront properties, including <br />trash, vehicles, docks and access. Mr. Newlon suggested it would be helpful for residents to file complaints <br />when they see these issues occur, and also to grant access to their yards to City staff so they could observe what <br />is occurring. Interim Community Development Director Sandra Smith advised that her staff was already <br />performing research regarding lakefront properties and what other jurisdictions have in their codes regarding <br />
