She added that staff is reviewing all these <br />issues and they hope to use a holistic approach to resolve them. Mayor Glancy added that she felt it would be <br />helpful to have a list of which of the City's lakes are spring -fed, for purposes of being able to answer citizens' <br />inquiries. Mr. Newlon asked that the Commission encourage the citizens to help police the lakefront areas <br />under the current Code, and then staff would be bringing additional options for the Commission's <br />consideration as a result of staff's research. <br />In response to a question from Vice Mayor Solomon, Mr. Newlon confirmed that a new Code Compliance <br />Officer had been hired and would be starting employment on July 8, 2013. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report — Mayor Glancy <br />No report. <br />C. Leadership Seminole Board Report — Mayor Glancy <br />Reported that the discussion at the meeting focused mainly on the budget and the upcoming class. She advised <br />that the cost to take the class had increased from $2,199 to $2,350 and the next class would begin in early <br />August. <br />D. Mayors /Managers Group Report — Mayor Glancy <br />No report. <br />E. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report — <br />Commissioner Solomon <br />No report. <br />F. Seminole County Redevelopment Planning Agency Report — Vice Mayor Solomon <br />Reported she and Mr. Newlon had attended the meeting and Mr. Newlon had given a brief report and <br />provided a handout on the Lake Concord Village (City Center) project at the members' request. She <br />also advised that the group voted for additional decorative lighting in Fern Park along 17 -92 and that <br />the objective was for all the lighting and signage to be uniform in order to provide a seamless <br />appearance along the corridor. In response to questions from Commissioner Hufford, Vice Mayor <br />Solomon explained that the County was addressing the care of the medians in the Fern Park area, <br />including installing sprinkler systems and replacing plants. <br />
