Piggyback of City of West Palm Beach Bid #12 -13 -103 with Stewart's Electric Motor Works, <br />Inc. for Electric Motor and Pump Repair <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to piggyback the City of West Palm Beach Invitation for <br />Bid #12 -13 -103 with Stewart's Electric Motor Works, Inc. for electric motor and pump repair for the Public <br />Works Department at an hourly labor rate plus the cost of repair parts. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommend approval to piggyback the <br />City of West Palm Beach Bid #12 -13 -103 with Stewart's Electric Motor Works, Inc. <br />H. Application for Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to apply for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant <br />(JAG) in the amount of $12,074. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. Upon award and collection of the grant funds, a <br />budget amendment will be completed and submitted to the City Commission for approval. This will likely <br />occur in the first quarter of FY 2014. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager, Finance Director and the Police Chief recommended approval of the <br />grant application for $12,074 to purchase the various items necessary to support the Police Department's <br />community enhancement initiatives. <br />L Budget Amendment #13 -050 — Purchase of Fire Prevention/Public Fire Safety Education <br />Trailer <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration of Budget Amendment #13 -050 to recognize grant <br />proceeds in the amount of $72,000 and transfer a City match of $8,000 for the purchase of a public fire safety <br />education trailer at a cost of $79,894.27. <br />Budget Impact: The required match of $8,000 is provided through the FY13 Budget Rollover Budget <br />Amendment #13 -029. Budget Amendment #13 -050 will reclassify the required match to the appropriate <br />
