CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 22, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page S of 14 <br />Account Number Account Description Amount <br />Increase: <br />001 - 0151 - 513.67 -01 Computers & Monitors $2,831 <br />Decrease: <br />001 - 0310 - 522.56 -00 Small Tools & Minor Equipment $2,831 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Fire Chief recommended approval of the purchase of the <br />mobile computing devices and Budget Amendment #13 -043. <br />Safe Routes to School Grant Application <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to submit a "Safe Routes to School" Grant Application to <br />MetroPlan Orlando for a $68,000 grant award to construct three pedestrian safety projects. If the grant is <br />awarded to the City and accepted, the City would need to contribute a $17,000 match. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget at this time. If awarded and accepted, there will be a <br />required 20% match by the City. The total estimated cost of the project is $85,000 amount to $17,000 as the <br />City's 20% match. The City Commission will have to act to accept the grant if awarded. At that time the <br />source for the match will be proposed. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Interim Community Development Director recommended <br />approval to submit the "Safe Routes to School" Gant Application to MetroPlan Orlando. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Hufford moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />A. First Reading of Ordinance 13 -1392 — Official Zoning Map Amendment for <br />Properties Located Near U.S. Highway 17 -92 and Triplet Lake Drive (ZB 13 -01) <br />Staff Presentation: City Clerk Donna Gardner advised that this item had been advertised as a public hearing <br />and Interim Community Development Director Sandra Smith would elaborate further. <br />Ms. Smith advised that Ordinance 13 -1392 related to zoning amendments for various properties around City <br />Hall. She further advised that based on discussion at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, staff was <br />requesting that this item be continued to the next City Commission meeting on May 13, 2013. She stated that <br />staff wanted to make some changes to the proposed amendments and bring those forward at the neat meeting. <br />She added that staff would also bring the future land use amendments forward for consideration at that time. <br />
