CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 8, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 of 17 <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report — Mayor Glancy <br />Advised there was nothing significant to report relating to Casselberry, but shared they had watched an <br />incredible video called Moving Forward about the improvements on I -4 which she would like to share with the <br />Commission at some point. Commissioner Aramendia advised he had seen the video on Channel 9 and it <br />showed 3 -d images of how all the intersections along I -4 would look after the improvements are made. Mayor <br />Glancy stated she had the link, and suggested that that it could be put on the City's website and the <br />Commissioners and residents could access it there. <br />C. Leadership Seminole Board Report — Mayor Glancy <br />No report. Stated she would be unable to attend the next meeting and Commissioner Hufford offered to attend <br />in her place. <br />D. Mayors /Managers Group Report — Mayor Glancy <br />Reported they had met at the Lake Mary Event Center and Sharon Seals, Executive Director for Seminole <br />County Convention and Visitor's Bureau had given an overview of what they do at the County level to <br />promote the County and all the cities within the County. <br />Advised that Seminole County Commissioner Bob Dallari had shared that two properties were being looked at <br />for the sports complex, one being Crescent property just north of Lake Mary Boulevard off of I -4 and the other <br />being the Kirchoff property off of SR 415 near the airport. Commissioner Hufford shared that she had learned <br />at the CALNO meeting that the decision had been made on Tuesday to select the property near the airport. <br />Advised that the Local Option Gas Tax had been approved and would produce $11 million over the next thirty <br />years. <br />E. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County ( CALNO) Report — <br />Commissioner Solomon <br />Reported that they had" met in Longwood and Commissioner Constantine had advised of the selection of the <br />Kirchoff property for the sports complex. She added that there was some very interesting discussion about the <br />decision, and she had indicated she felt it was the right choice to locate the complex near the airport. <br />F. Seminole County Redevelopment Planning Agency Repoli — Vice Mayor Solomon <br />No report. <br />
