Resolution 13 -2525 — Supplemental Amendment Number 1 to the Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for Decorative Mast Arm Signalization Improvements for the U.S. Highway 17 -92 and State Road 436 Interchange Project and Related Budget Amendment #13 -069 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AMENDMENT NUMBER I TO THE LOCALLY FUNDED AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR DECORATIVE MAST ARM TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION IMPROVEMENTS RELATED TO THE U.S. HIGHWAY 17 -92 AND STATE ROAD 436 INTERCHANGE PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 13 -2525 approves Supplemental Amendment Number 1 submitted by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to the Locally Funded Agreement for mast arm signalization improvements related to the U.S. Highway 17 -92 and SR 436 Interchange Project, in the amount of $28,650 to be refunded to the City, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Consideration of related Budget Amendment #13-069 is also requested. Budget Impact: Supplemental Amendment Number 1 to the FDOT Locally Funded Agreement provides for FDOT to refund the bid proposal cost difference of $28,650 for the decorative mast arm traffic signalization pay items to the City. Budget Amendment #13 -069 appropriates the amount into General Fund balance and reduces the budget originally assigned to account 001 - 0720 - 541.46 -00. BA #13 -069 Explanation of Request: This item recognizes a reduction in the budget related to mast arm signalization improvements for the Highway 17 -92 /SR 436 Flyover Project as a result of the bid process completion. The City Commission approved an estimated budget of $115,000 for mast arm upgrades associated with this project via BA# 13 -019 on December 10, 2012. The professional bid for the project came in at a lower cost than the original estimate, necessitating a corresponding reduction in the previously allotted budget.
