CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 26, 2013 —Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of 17 <br />Introduction: Resolution 13 -2522 approves Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the Standard Consultant <br />Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for design services for reclaimed water filture demand modeling for an <br />amount not to exceed $17,390, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />Budget Impact: Funds to cover the costs associated with Supplemental Agreement No. 1 (for an amount not <br />to exceed $17,390 without prior authorization) are available in the Distribution and Collection Professional <br />Services Account #401 - 0751 - 536.31 -00. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />13 -2522. <br />F. Resolution 13 -2524 — Supplemental Amendment Number 1 to the Agreement with the <br />Florida Department of Transportation for Irrigation Maintenance and Upgraded Landscaping <br />Improvements for the U.S. Highway 17 -92 and State Road 436 Interchange Project and <br />Related Budget Amendment #13 -068 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 TO THE <br />LOCALLY FUNDED AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR LANDSCAPEMRRIGATION, BRIDGE <br />STRUCTURE AND SIDEWALK AESTHETIC IMPROVEMENTS AND <br />LANDSCAPE /IRRIGATION MAINTENANCE PERTAINING TO THE U.S. HIGHWAY 17 -92 AND <br />STATE ROAD 436 INTERCHANGE PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 13 -2524 approves Supplemental Amendment Number 1 submitted by the Florida <br />Department of Transportation to the Locally Funded Agreement for enhanced landscaping/irrigation, bridge <br />structure and sidewalk improvements and landscaping/irrigation maintenance for the U.S. Highway 17 -92 and <br />SR 436 Interchange Project, in the amount not to exceed $73,323, without prior authorization, and authorizes <br />the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Consideration of related Budget Amendment #13- <br />068 is also requested. <br />Budget Impact: Budget Amendment # 13 -068 appropriates funds for Supplemental Amendment Number 1 in <br />General Fund balance account 001 - 0720 - 541.46 -00 ($56,858) and Water and Sewer utility account 401 -0751- <br />536.46-01 ($16,465) for an amount not to exceed $73,323 without prior written authorization. <br />BA #13 -068 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide additional funding for costs <br />associated with irrigation, sidewalk improvements and inclusion of four (4) architectural City logos (City <br />identification) related to the Highway 17 -92 /SR 436 Flyover Project. The City Commission approved an <br />estimated budget of $128,000 for these improvements via Budget Amendment #13 -020 on December 10, <br />2012. The professional bid for the project came in $73,323 higher than the original estimate, necessitating a <br />corresponding increase in the previously allotted budget. <br />
