Sole Source Purchase of Motorola Radios <br />Introduction: This item provides for the sole source purchase of nine (9) replacement Motorola radios in the <br />amount of $25,549 for the Public Works Department in connection with Seminole County's upgrade from <br />analog to digital radios. <br />Budget Impact: The total cost for the nine (9) radios and accessories is $25,549. The entire purchase amount <br />was budgeted and approved in the FY2013 Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval to purchase the nine <br />(9) Motorola radios in the amount of $25,549. <br />I. Purchase of a Double - walled Tank for Temporary Storage of Used Oil and Related Budget <br />Amendment #13-064 <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to purchase a double - walled tank fi-om Don Wood, Inc. in <br />the amount of $1,468.43 for temporary storage of used oil. Budget Amendment #13 -064 is necessary to re- <br />appropriate the necessary funding to the proper capital account. <br />Budget Impact: Sufficient operating funds are available to cover the costs associated with the purchase ofthe <br />temporary storage tank; however, Budget Amendment #13-064 is necessary to re- appropriate funding into the <br />proper capital account. Upon approval, funds will be available in the Public Works Streets/Equipment Other <br />Account #001 - 0720 - 541.67 -35. <br />BA #13 -064 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for costs associated <br />with the purchase of a double - walled tank for temporary storage of used oil for the Public Works Complex. <br />This equipment will replace the current temporary storage tank that was found to be out of compliance with <br />state and federal regulations. Don Wood, Inc. has submitted a price quotation in the arnount of $1,468.43. <br />This budget amendment will provide sufficient funding for the City to purchase this capital item. <br />
