CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 13, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of 18 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of this <br />piggyback purchase of 134 tons of alum from General Chemical Performance Products LLC in the amount of <br />$35,510. <br />Sole Source Purchase from Sanders Company, Inc., for Wilshire Pump Station <br />Rehabilitation <br />Introduction: This item provides for City Commission consideration of a sole source purchase from Sandell <br />Company, Inc., for Smith and Loveless wet well mount pump station and installation /modification services for <br />the Wilshire pump station rehabilitation project in the amount of $63,428. <br />Budget Impact: Funds of $63,428 were provided for in the FY 2013 budget and are available in the Public <br />Works Renewal and Replacement account #402 - 0751 - 536.46 -12. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval for the sole <br />source purchase from Sanders Company,. Inc. in the amount of $63,428. <br />K. Sole Source Purchase from Sanders Company, Inc., for Woodcrest Pump Station <br />Rehabilitation <br />Introduction: This item provides for City Commission consideration of a sole source purchase from Sanders <br />Company, Inc., for Smith and Loveless wet well mount pump station and installation /modification services for <br />the Woodcrest pump station rehabilitation project in the amount of $69,587. <br />Budget Impact: Funds in the amount of $125,000 were allotted in the FY2013 budget rollover on budget <br />amendment 413-029 and listed as Woodcrest Lift Station Renovation. As such, the $69,587 required for this <br />portion of the rehabilitation is available in the Public Works Renewal and Replacement account #402 -0751- <br />536.63-24. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of the Sole <br />Source Purchase Agreement with Sanders Company, Inc. <br />L. K -9 Retirement Agreement for Police K -9 "Tuk" <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to retire Police K -9 "Tuk ", one of two Casselberry Police <br />Department K -9's, and allow Officer Ali Shurdom to purchase "Tuk ", who has been partnered with Officer <br />Shurdom since 2008. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. The purchase of a replacement for "Tuk" is being <br />planned with the development of the FY 2013 -14 Budget. <br />
