CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 13, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 13 of 18 <br />Ms. Smith advised that staff was recommending Commission approval of the proposed amendments, as they <br />were consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan; they were compatible with the surrounding mix of zoning <br />and land uses; and they would not negatively impact the City's ability to provide set-vices. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Interim Community Development Director recommended <br />approval of Ordinance 13 -1390. <br />The following individuals came forward to address Ordinance 13 -1390. <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, again expressed his feeling that the park <br />and the lake should not be included in any proposed rezoning or change of use. He added that <br />he agreed that mixed use should not be required, and inquired whether the proposed use was <br />considered a higher density than regular commercial. Mayor Glancy advised that staff could <br />address his questions at a later time. <br />Mr. James Fraleigh, 23 Teresa Court, spoke in opposition to the ordinance, stating he felt the <br />amendments would contribute to more congestion in the area and would negatively impact <br />community and property values. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve Ordinance 13 -1390 on first <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Solomon. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />No items were scheduled for consideration on this agenda. <br />[pill Mor- 1101,1141 <br />No items were scheduled for consideration on this agenda. <br />Mayor Glancy recognized representatives of Bob Evans Restaurant who were present, stating the restaurant <br />had earlier in the day celebrated its grand reopening after remodeling. <br />Ms. Beverly Morgan, General Manager of the Bob Evans Restaurant gave a brief overview of the company's <br />remodeling efforts at the Casselberry location and throughout Florida which was being called a "farm refresh ". <br />She stated that the company has plans to refresh all the restaurants in Florida and are looking to give them a <br />more uniform and recognizable look when you walk in. She added that one of the main focuses would now be <br />
