CASSELBCRRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of October 8, 2012 — Regular Meeting Page 10 of 14 Ms. Reischmann asked for clarification as to whether the Commission was also including staff's recommendation that the lien was to be paid within 60 days. MOTION: Commissioner Miller moved to amend the previous motion to include the requirement that the reduced lien be paid within 60 days. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. Original motion, as amended, carried unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. A. Future Agenda Items Commissioner Solomon suggested the possibility of changing the name of Wirz Park. In response to a question from Mayor Glancy, City Clerk Donna Gardner advised that the park had been named for former Councilman Richard Wirz, who died in 1973. Discussion ensued regarding the pronunciation of the park's name and about whether the park's name should remain the same or be changed. Suggestions were made about the possibility of naming the City's trail system the Green Way in order to tie into the City's waterway system which is called the Blue Way. After additional discussion, the Commissioners each agreed to think about possible names for the trail system and to bring it up for discussion at a later time. B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report — Mayor Glancy No report. C. Leadership Seminole Board Report — Mayor Glancy No report. D. Mayors /Managers Group Report — Mayor Glancy Reported that Amy Lockhart, who is heading the Seminole County 100 Years Celebration, gave a presentation, stating that the plan was to celebrate the 100 years during the first 100 days beginning January 1 sc of next year. She advised that Ms. Lockhart had asked the cities to bring to her attention any significant events they would have during the 100 -day time period, and the County would try to incorporate those events into the promotion of the County's 100 Years Celebration. There was a brief discussion regarding what City events were planned during that time, and whether Ms. Lockhart's request would include non -city events, such as Chamber or Rotary events. Mayor Glancy suggested that a list could be put together and submitted to Ms. Lockhart and she could make the call on which events would appropriate to include.
