CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 10, 2012 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 9 of 14 <br />Ms. Reischmann stated for the record that the Charter required four votes, and since the vote was 5 -0 the <br />Charter provision had been met. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve Resolution 12 -2415, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Miller. <br />Discussion: Additional discussion ensued regarding the terms of the employment agreement, focusing <br />primarily on the terms relating to severance pay and extension of health benefits after termination. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to amend the previous motion to include the <br />amendment to the Employment Agreement to decrease the time for extension of <br />health benefits after termination from 18 months to 12 months, with all other <br />terms remaining as submitted. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Miller. <br />Motion passed Unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />Discussion: A brief discussion ensued regarding the terms of the employment agreement. Commission <br />consensus was that the terms of the agreement, with the suggested amendment in the length of time health <br />benefits would be extended was acceptable. Mr. Newlon also agreed to the terms, as amended. <br />Amended Motion passed unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />Ms. Reischmann stated that the Resolution cited the language regarding suspension of the residency <br />requirement, and she wished to also state for the record that Mr. Newlon did meet the City's personnel <br />policies' residency requirements. <br />No items were scheduled on this agenda. <br />1 � <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Vice Mayor Hufford stated she had received a complaint from a resident who was concerned about the <br />possibility of a dirt bike area being formed on South Lake Triplet. She suggested the Commission may need to <br />have a discussion about what regulations are in place or would be necessary to implement in order to protect <br />the area and prevent a problem from occurring. <br />Discussion: Discussion ensued about the unique layout of the area on South Lake Triplet, and <br />whether there were either noise restrictions or flood plain restrictions already in place that could be <br />enforced to alleviate any problems, or whether new regulations would possibly need to be <br />implemented. Mr. Newlon advised that he would direct Community Development staff to research the <br />
