Purchase of Ancillary Equipment for In -Car Video Systems from the State law Enforcement Trust Fund and Related Budget Amendment #12 -064 Introduction: Consideration to purchase the necessary ancillary equipment for twelve (12) previously purchased in -car video systems using State Law Enforcement Trust Funds at a total cost of $17,643 and related Budget Amendment #12 -064 is requested. Budget Impact: Funding for this equipment in the arnount of $17,643 will be provided from the Police Department Law Enforcement Trust Fund via Budget Amendment #12 -064. BA #12 -064 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for costs associated to purchase ancillary computer and software equipment; computer server, video manager server software, wireless transfer server software, and wireless transfer module kits. This equipment will provide for the wireless download of video from the in -car video cameras directly to a dedicated server. The computer server will eliminate the need for the officers to manually download the video from their cameras, while also providing the Police Department with a secure means of storing and categorizing its video evidence. The use of Federal Law Enforcement Trust Funds — Department of Treasury, for such purchase is permissible. Resolution 12 -2398 — Interpreting the City Code Regarding Utility Connections "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, CLARIFYING CODE SECTIONS 86 -69(C) AND 85- 206(C) INTERPRETING THE CITY CODE REGARDING UTILITY CONNECTION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 12 -2398 provides for interpretation of the City Code regarding prerequisites for utility connections for non -City residents. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget.
