Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report— Vice Mayor <br />Hufford <br />No report. <br />F. Seminole County Redevelopment Planning Agency Report— Commissioner Solomon <br />No report. <br />A. City Commission Goals — Second Quarter Pro report <br />Mr. Newlon referred the Commission to the Quarterly Goals Report contained in their meeting packets, stating <br />that it was being provided to them for their review. No further discussion was held on the report. <br />• Reminded the Commission that the next meeting would be on May 10', which would be the only <br />meeting in May due to the Memorial Day holiday. <br />• Advised that the employees would be gathering for a Spring Lunch event on May 14"' from 11 a.m. — <br />1 p.m. which and extended an invitation for the Commissioners to attend. <br />• Reported that the property at 71 N Winter Park Drive was recently taken by the bank for foreclosure, <br />and the BMX mounds on the property were scheduled to be removed tomorrow morning. <br />• Advised that Mr. Rick Birdoff, who owns the Jai Alai and surrounding properties, and who has strong <br />opinions about the flyover that is scheduled to begin construction in FY 2013, has scheduled a <br />meeting with FDOT on May 9"'. He added that he had been contacted by Seminole County <br />Commissioner Carlton Henley, who had advised that the County's Engineer would be attending and <br />who had suggested that Casselberry may want to send someone to represent the Commission at this <br />meeting, as well. Mr. Newlon requested that the Commission select someone to represent them at the <br />meeting. <br />CONSENSUS: The Commission agreed by consensus to select Vice Mayor Hufford to attend <br />the meeting with Mr. Birdoff and FDOT on May 9t". <br />Mayor Glancy suggested that City Engineer Kelly Brock should probably also attend the meeting. <br />• Mr. Newlon also advised that there will be a workshop at 6:00 p.m. prior to the May meeting to revisit <br />the guiding principles which will be provided to developers for development of City -owned property, <br />and to discuss the vision for how the process will proceed. <br />
