C. City Alcohol Permit for Earth Fest 2012 Introduction: Consideration of a permit to allow for the consumption of alcohol at Lake Concord Park during the upcoming Earth Fest 2012 event is requested. As required by ordinance, the permit application must be reviewed and approved by the City Commission. This permit is to allow for the consumption of alcohol on the premises. Free samples of an organic beer by Orlando Brewery will be provided by Keep Seminole Beautiful, a non -profit organization, during a beer tasting activity. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget. D. Application for 2011 Fire Prevention and Safety Grant for a Public Fire Safety Education Trailer Introduction: Consideration for staff to prepare and submit a grant application to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Fire Prevention and Safety Grant program in an amount of $80,000 +/- with a 10% City match for the purpose of obtaining federal fiends to purchase a public fire safety education trailer is requested. Budget Impact: If the grant is awarded and subsequently accepted by the City Commission, the City would receive a grant award of $80,000 +/- with a required 10% match $8,000 + / -. Funding for the match would be required from either Fund Balance or Contingency Reserve of the General Fund. Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Fire Chief recommend approval for the preparation and submission of a 2011 Fire Prevention and Safety Grant application for a public fire safety education trailer. MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 — 0.
