Introduction: Resolution 12 -2359 provides for consideration of Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Environmental Research and Design, Inc. (ERD) for the Queens Mirror Lake and South Lake Triplet Sediment Inactivation (Alum Treatment) Project in the amount of $90,552. Budget Impact: Sufficient fiends have been allocated in the Stormwater Utility Professional Services Acct. #110- 0740 - 539.31 -00 to cover the costs associated with ERD's proposal in the amount of $90,552. Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution 12 -2359. B. Resolution 11 -2360 — Award of Bid and Agreement with Orlando Pools by Design and Related Budget Amendment #12 -044 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF BID AND THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND ORLANDO POOLS BY DESIGN FOR REPAIR OF THE WIRZ PARK POOLS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 12 -2360 provides for consideration to award the bid and authorize an agreement with Orlando Pools by Design in the amount of $66,400 to provide for ADA mandated upgrades to accessibility at the Wirz Park pools. Consideration of related Budget Amendment #12 -044 to facilitate the purchase is also requested. Budget Impact: Funding for this expense will be established in Building Improvements account #001 -0410- 572.62-25 at $66,400. The funding is partially provided in the amount of $25,000 transferred from the Facilities Repairs and Maintenance account #001 - 0410 - 572- 46 -00. The balance of $41,400 will come from General Fund fiend balance and will be coded from Other Non - Operating Sources account #001- 0000- 389.90- 00 as facilitated by Budget Amendment #12 -044. BA # 12 -044 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for costs associated with the purchase related to the repair of Wirz Park pools to bring them into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) rules of Chapter 2, Section 242.2 stating that all public pools must have at least two accessible means of entry complying with sloped entries or transfer systems. This budget amendment will provide sufficient funding for the City to approve an agreement with Orlando Pools by Design that will authorize them to repair and renovate the Wirz Park pools to be in compliance with ADA requirements.
