Resolution 13-2462 — Amendment to the 2011-12 Urban and Community ForestrX Grant Memorandum of Agreement and Related budget Amendment # 13-027 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2011-12 URBAN AND COMMUNITY FORESTRY GRANT MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 13-2462 approves an amendment to the 2011-12 Florida Urban and Community Forestry Grant Memorandum of Agreement to reduce cumulative costs for the Urban Forestry Technician position to allow grant funding for tree planting and related costs and to extend the grant deadline, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Approval of related Budget Amendment #13-027 is also requested. Budget Impact: Upon approval of Resolution 13-2462 and Budget Amendment #13-027 the remainder ofthe Urban and Community Forestry grant ($10,583) originally approved with Resolution 11-2236 will be rolled over and re -budgeted in account 115-0000-331.70-02 of the Tree Fund. Spending will be increased in Tree Fund account 115-0720-541.46-16. The required grant match will be derived from spending already programmed and budgeted in the Tree Fund. BA #13-027 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for modified costs associated with the Urban & Community Forestry grant contract No. 16125 for 2011-12. The agenda item is requesting Commission approval of a modification to the original grant. This budget amendment is to provide funding for the associated purchase of trees for planting included as the modification to the original grant contract. The original agreement was adopted under Resolution 11-2236 in March 2011.
