Resolution 12-1350 -Solid Waste Consumer Price Index (CPI) Rate Adjustment <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF A RATE ADJUSTMENT BASED ON THE 2011 CONSUMER <br />PRICE INDEX (CPI) IN ACCORDANCE WITH TIIE COOPERATIVE PURCIIASE AGREEMENT <br />FOR RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION WITH WASTE PRO OF FLORIDA, INC. <br />(WASTE PRO); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 12-2350 provides for consideration of a consumer price index (CPI) and fiiel <br />adjustment on contractual rates to be paid to Waste Pro of Florida for solid waste collection fiom April 1, 2012 <br />to September 30, 2012 in the amount of $19,146.18. <br />Budget Impact: First quarter recycling revenue received by the City from Seminole County for FY 2011- <br />2012 was calculated at over $24,000. The amount fluchrates depending on the number of tons the City <br />recycles on a monthly basis. In accordance with Florida Administrative Code Chapter 62-708, the City must <br />apply revenue received from solid waste to solid waste related expenditures. It is therefore recommended that <br />these funds be utilized to absorb the costs related with the proposed CIP rate adjustment. Funds to cover the <br />increase in rates are available in accountno. 118-0730-534.34-00. <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of <br />Resolution 12-2350. <br />E. City Alcohol Permit for Spring Jazz Concert <br />Introduction: Consideration of a permit application to allow for the consumption of alcohol which will be <br />sold by the Rotary Club of Casselberry at Lake Concord Park during the Spring Jazz Concert on March 24, <br />2012 is requested. As required by City Code, the permit application mast be reviewed and approved by the <br />City Commission. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget. <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of the <br />alcohol consumption permit. <br />
