(b) Subdivision Signs <br />(I ) May be located in any zoning district, provided the <br />development is a permitted or approved use in such a district. <br />(II ) Such signs shall not be located nearer than twenty- <br />five (25) feet from any intersection of any street rights-of-way. <br />(III) Subdivision entrance gates and walls used as <br />subdivision signs may exceed the height limitations, otherwise established, when <br />approved by the City Commission, provided same does not create a traffic or <br />safety hazard. <br />(IV) In Residential Districts there shall be no flashing <br />or animated signs. Also, sign lights shall be so focused, directed, and so <br />arranged as to prevent glare or direct illumination or traffic hazard from said <br />lights onto abutting property or adjacent streets or roads. <br />(V) Subdivision signs shall not exceed forty-eight (48) <br />square feet in area or a maximum height of fifteen (15) feet above the elevation <br />of the crown of the road. Allowable sign height shall be determined based upon <br />the elevation of the roadway crown adjacent to the sign structure location. <br />(c) Flags. There shall be a maximum of one (1) flag <br />located per business location. For purposes of this subsection, national flags, <br />state flags, flags of political subdivisions and symbolic flags of nonprofit or <br />noncommercial institutions or organizations shall not be considered as flags <br />regulated by this subsection unless used in the promotion of a business. The <br />maximum size of the flag shall not exceed thirty-five ( 35 ) square feet or be more <br />than thirty (30) feet in height. Allowable flag height shall be determined based <br />upon the elevation of the roadway crown adjacent to the flag structure location. <br />(2) Temporary <br />(a) Trailer Signs <br />(I) Each property owner, or his properly licensed agent <br />shall prior to displaying each sign upon any premise, secure a permit for each <br />sign from the Community Development Department of the City of Casselberry. A <br />permit shall not be valid for longer than a period of thirty (30) days, after <br />which time, the trailer sign shall be removed from the premises. A permit cannot <br />be renewed nor can a permit be obtained for the same business within a period of <br />one-hundred twenty (120) days after the removal of a trailer sign from the <br />premises. No more than two (2) permits may be issued to the same business <br />location in any one calendar year. Any business failing to remove a trailer sign <br />from their premises, within five (5) days after the expiration or revocation of <br />their permit, will be prohibited from obtaining a permit for a trailer sign at <br />that business location, for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days <br />following the removal of the sign. <br />(II) Trailer signs may be placed at the property line <br />provided no traffic or safety hazard is created, in which case, they shall be set <br />back a minimum of ten (10) feet, and providing they are no closer than ten (10) <br />feet to the paved surface of the road. <br />(III ) The placement of a trailer sign in a parking space <br />which is required to meet the minimum parking requirements shall be prohibited. <br />(IV) The placement of a trailer sign in the public <br />right-of-way is prohibited and will be cause for revocation of the permit. <br />
