Monument Sign: Any sign supported totally by a solid base of <br />masonry, brick, or other material, which is not less than 80 percent of the total <br />sign area width and which is of a finished or decorative type construction. <br />Motor Vehicle Sign: A sign or advertising display mounted, <br />placed, written, or painted on a vehicle or trailer whether motor driven or not. <br />Outdoor Advertising Sign: Any sign advertising a business, <br />organization, event, person, place or thing, and is located on a separate parcel <br />of land from the subject so advertised. <br />Point-of-Sale Sign: Any sign designed to be viewed from off the <br />premises, advertising or designating the use, occupancy of premises, or <br />merchandise and products sold, manufactured, or stored on the premises. Such <br />signs shall be located on the premises to be advertised. <br />Political Campaign Sign: A temporary sign, with no face <br />exceeding thirty-two (32) square feet, defining political issues or announcing <br />candidates for election to any public office. <br />Projecting Sign: Any sign affixed to a building or wall in <br />such a manner that its leading edge extends more than six inches beyond the <br />surface of such building or wall. <br />Real Estate Sign: Any sign which is used to offer, for sale, lease, <br />or rent, the property upon which the sign is placed. <br />Roof Sign: Any sign erected or installed upon the roof of any <br />building or structure. <br />Snipe Sign: Any sign of any material whatsoever that is attached <br />in any way to a utility pole, tree, or any object located or situated on any <br />public road rights-of-way, easements or alleys. <br />Subdivision Sign: Any sign which indicates the name of a <br />subdivision, planned unit development or residential/agriculture project, and <br />which is located on the same property which is identified. <br />Temporary Sign: Those signs specifically defined in Section IV <br />(A)(2) and Section IV (B)(2) hereof. <br />Trailer Sign: Any sign mounted on a trailer normally licensed by <br />the State of Florida as a trailer or such a sign engineered as a free standing <br />sign, transported to the site on a trailer, and used for advertising or <br />promotional purposes. <br />Wall Sign: Any sign attached parallel to, but within six inches of <br />a wall, painted on the wall surface of, or erected and confined within the limits <br />of. an outside wall of any building or structure, which is supported by such wall <br />or building, and which displays only one sign surface. <br />Window/Door Sign: Any sign, pictures, symbol, or combination thereof, <br />designed to communicate information about an activity, business, commodity, <br />event, sale, or service, that is placed inside a window or upon the window panes <br />or glass of any window or door, and is visible from the exterior of the window <br />or door. <br />(B) Sign Area <br />The area of a sign face (which is also the sign area of a wall sign <br />or other sign with only one face) shall be computed by means of the smallest <br />square, circle, rectangle, triangle, or combination thereof that will encompass <br />3 <br />
