Mr. Aramendia made a motion to provide a <br />favorable recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission to the City Commission to extend the <br />moratorium related to game rooms, arcades, Internet cafes, sweepstakes, redemption centers and similar indoor <br />entertainment amusement activities for an additional 90 days to expire May 4, 2011 based on staff memo dated <br />December 8, 2010 from Ms. Smith to the Planning and Zoning Commission as presented. Mr. Van Meter seconded <br />the motion. <br />The Board was polled. <br />Harley Parkhurst Yes <br />Anthony Aramendia Yes <br />Stanley Weinroth Yes <br />Nathan Van Meter, Jr. Yes <br />Daniel Hale Yes <br />Andrew Meadows Yes <br />Victor Lutz Yes <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />Eighth Item of Business: LPA 10-13: Dead Trees: Amendment to the City of Casselberry Code of <br />Ordinances, Part III, Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDRs), Chapter III, Performance Criteria, <br />Article XIV, Tree Protection, Section 3-14.10, Exceptions to tree protection requirements. <br />Mr. Eric Raasch, Planner I, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated December 3, 2010, <br />to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br />Department). Mr. Raasch requested the Planning and Zoning Commission provide a favorable recommendation to <br />the City Commission to amend the City of Casselberry Code of Ordinances, Part III, Unified Land Development <br />Regulations (ULDRs), Chapter III, Performance Criteria, Article XIV, Tree Protection, Section 3-14.10, Exceptions to <br />tree protection requirements; to provide waivers for dead trees on undeveloped commercial properties, excluding <br />trees that have been intentionally damaged. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding qualifications for registered landscape architects and certified arborist. <br />In response to the Commission's question, Ms. Smith stated that there are no pending tree replacement cases. She <br />explained that the case on Concord Drive was resolved by the City Commission granting a full waiver. <br />
