No one came forward. <br />Mr. Parkhurst asked for a motion to address CU 10-10. Mr. Aramendia recommended approval of CU 10-10 <br />Lake Drive Assisted Living Facility for properties located at 1316, 1324 and 1332 Lake Drive based on staff memo <br />dated December 8, 2010 and the findings of fact and conclusions of the staff report dated December 3, 2008 and the <br />conditions of approval provided in the December 15, 2008 Planning and Zoning Commission approval letter, Mr. Van <br />Meter seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Seventh Item of business: MISC 10.08 Internet Cafe: Recommendation to provide a 90 day extension to the <br />adopted moratorium for game rooms, arcades, internet cafes, sweepstakes redemption centers and similar <br />indoor entertainment and amusement activities. <br />Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, reviewed the information provided in her memorandum dated December <br />8, 2010, to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community <br />Development Department), Ms. Smith explained that Seminole County is currently working on legislation to prohibit <br />computers utilizing certain displays and it is scheduled to go before the County Commission in January 2011. Ms. <br />Smith stated that this legislation would be countywide. She said that the City Attorney has advised that the City <br />should also adopt an ordinance stating that the Seminole County legislation is applicable to the City of Casselberry. <br />Ms. Smith stated that additional time is needed to allow the County and City time to adopt their ordinances. <br />Ms. Smith requested the Planning and Zoning Commission provide a favorable recommendation for the <br />resolution to the City Commission to extend the moratorium related to game rooms, arcades, internet cafes, <br />sweepstakes redemption centers, and similar indoor entertainment and amusement activities for an additional ninety <br />days, to expire May 4, 2011. <br />A general discussion ensued regarding regulating internet cafes. Mr. Parkhurst asked if there was anyone <br />in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, the request. No one came forward. <br />
