A discussion ensued regarding parking on Brittany Circle conflicting with the proposed trail and using any remaining funds for the project to add to the landscaping. Mr. Parkhurst asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to, the request. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Casselberry questioned the time that the trails are open. It was stated that the trails are open from sunrise to sunset unless the City amends the time the park is open for activities. Mr. Casselberry said his concern was people being on the trails with no lighting. He suggested that the trails should not be overloaded with trees because the Sheriffs helicopters would not be able to view the area. Parking along Brittany Circle was discussed. The Commission discussed adding a recommendation that Brittany Circle be imprinted to provide a shared path on the roadway, provision of signage and limit parking to one side of the street. Mr. Cruz said they would review that option and may add it as a bid option. Mr. Parkhurst asked for a motion to address SPR 10-05. Mr. Aramendia recommended approval of SPR 10- 05 Wirz Park Trail Section 1 and adding Condition No. 12 to provide a recommendation to do the striping, imprinting shared bike path and no parking on that side of the road on Brittany Circle and Wilshire including the staff recommendations in the October 1, 2010 staff report. Mr. Van Meter seconded the motion, The Board was polled.
