elected at large in the manner provided in this Charter and shall hold office for <br />a term of #~3~} four 4 years, or until their successors are elected and <br />certified. No member of the City Commission shall serve more than three (3) <br />consecutive terms. <br />The regular election of Commissioners and the Mayor/Commissionershall be <br />held in even numbered years to coincide with the Florida gubernatorial and <br />United States presidential elections. The City Commission shall have <br />staggered terms. The selection of members of the City Commission shall be <br />by seats known as Seats 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the Commissioners and Seat 5 for <br />the Mayor/Commissioner. The Mayor/Commissioner for Seat 5 and one (1) <br />Commissioner for Seat 4 shall be elected at the regular City election forti~e <br />four (4) year terms beginning <br />November 7, 2000, and every aeneral election four (4.) vears thereafter. <br />Effective November 7, 2000, the three (3~ Commissioners for Seats 1, 2 and <br />3 shall have their three (3) vear terms extended by one (1) year. The <br />Commissioners for seats 1, 2 and 3 shall be elected for four (4~ vear terms <br />beainning November 5, 2002, and every aeneral election four (4) years <br />thereafter. There shall be no regular city election for seats 1, 2 and 3 in 2001 <br />nor for seats 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in odd-numbered years thereafter. <br />*** <br />(B) Ballot Question. Concurrent with the regular City Election scheduled for <br />November 7, 2000, the following question shall be placed on the ballot following the placement <br />on the ballot of candidates for the office of City Commission members. The ballot title and <br />question shall be worded substantially as follows: <br />CIiANGING COMMISSION ELECTIONS TO V N <br />NUMSEE YEARS; INCR ASING COMMISSION T RMS <br />FROM TH TO FOUR YEARS <br />Shall Article IV, Section 10 of the City of Casselberry Charter be <br />amended to change all regular City Commission elections to <br />even numbered years to coincide with Florida gubernatorial and <br />Ordinance No. 00-990 <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />
