<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of March 9, 2009 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 11 of 15 <br /> <br />CLERK OF COURT AND THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF <br />FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 09-1276 was published in <br />the Orlando Sentinel on February 22,2009 and March 1,2009. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Gerald Paradise, Community Development Director, stated Ordinance 09-1276 <br />provides for annexation of a parcel of land and industrial structure at 3S0 Anchor Road, west of U.S. <br />Highway 17-92. The lands to be annexed consist of approximately 16.83 acres which are adjacent and <br />contiguous to the City limits, will not create an enclave, is reasonably compact, is in an urban area as defined <br />in the criteria and meets the statutory requirements for annexation, as established in Chapter 171, Florida <br />Statutes. The subject property has a Seminole County future land use designation ofIndustrial and a Light <br />Manufacturing zoning designation. The City Commission passed Ordinance 09-1276 on first reading on <br />February 23, 2009. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: The subject proeprty is valued at $2,2SS,937 and currently provides $10,186 in County <br />property taxes. The subject property will provide $11,046 in City property taxes and an estimated $20,946 <br />total fiscal impact. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of Ordinance 09-1276 on second reading. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: No one came forward to address Ordinance 09-1276. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Ordinance <br />09-1276 on second reading as presented. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Miller. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5 - O. <br /> <br />10.
