CASSIJLBI;RRY CITY COA4MI5SION <br />D4inutes of Tebruary 28, 2011- Regular Meeting <br />Page 9 of 11 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended that the City Commission consider <br />appointment of Mr. Ron Bryan to the Lakes Management Advisory Board, term effective until January 2013, <br />and also consider appointment of Ms. Cheryl Evans to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, term effective <br />to January 2012. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Miller moved to appoint Mr. Ron Bryan to the Lalces Management <br />Advisory Board, term effective until January 2013. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 - 0. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Hufford moved to appoint Ms. Cheryl Evans to the Parks ~& <br />Recreation Advisory Board, term effective until January 2012. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried unanimously by voice <br />vote 5 - 0. <br />13. ISCLTSS l~T TE <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Commissioner Solomon requested discussion concerning possible development of a policy regarding assisting <br />(monetary, signage, police, etc.) civic groups such as Casselberry Rotary Club and the Casselberry Chamber of <br />Commerce. Commission consensus was to place the matter on a firture agenda for discussion and requested <br />the City Manager to bring back an outline of options to decide the parameters of the policy. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report -Mayor G1ancX <br />Mayor Glancy reported the next meeting is scheduled for March 3, 2011. <br />C. Mayors/Managers Group Repo1•t -Mayor G1ancX <br />Mayor Glancy reported presentations were given on the SR 46 Alternative Water Supply Project and the <br />Yankee Lake Srrrface Water Project at the February 15, 2011 meeting. Discussion regarding contimiation <br />of the one cent sales tax in its current form also occurred. <br />D. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report - <br />Commissioner Hufford <br />Commissioner Hufford reported the last CALNO meeting was held hosted by the City of Casselberry on <br />February 2, 2011 and a comprehensive presentation was given on public art by Mr•. Terry Olson, Director of <br />Arts & Cultural Affairs of Orange County,, Ms. Kathryn Townsend, Florida Council on Arts and Culture, Ms. <br />Nel Gyenes, Executive Director of the Seminole Cultural Arts Council, Ms. Jo Alaniz, Executive Director of <br />
