Ifthe ordinance is approved by the City Commission, a referendum will be held by mail with ballots to be returned no later than June 14, 2011. If the referendum should fail, no attempt to annex the area may take place for a period of two years. Budget Impact: The properties are currently valued at $3,225,256 taxable value and currently provide $52,109 in county property tax. These parcels will provide $17,578 in City property tax, an estimated $7,376 in annual stormwater fees and $2,294 for annual street lighting assessments. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval of Ordinance 11-1346 on first reading. Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy opened the public hearing relative to Ordinance 11-1346. No one came forward. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance 11-1346. MOTION: Commissioner Hufford moved to approve Ordinance 11-1346 on first reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 - 0. C. First Reading of Ordinance 11-1347 -Amendments to the Official Zoning Map for Property Located at 1060 Seminola Boulevard (ZB 11-01) The City Clerk read Ordinance 11-1347 by title as follows: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY'S OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN ARTICLE IV, SECTION 2-4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CG (COMMERCIAL GENERAL) FOR APPROXIMATELY 0.41 ACRES OF THE PARCEL DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1 OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 11-1347 was published in the Orlando Sentinel on February 17, 2011. Staff Presentation: Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner, stated Ordinance 11-1347 provides for amending the zoning designation of a portion of the property located at 1060 Seminola Boulevard from OR (Office Residential) to CG (Commercial General) which is consistent with the property's firtare land use designation of Commercial, consistent with the Comprehensive Plan, compatible with the surrounding land uses, and is a positive catalyst for economic redevelopment and provide for orderly development. The Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the rezoning at its February 9, 2011 meeting. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget.
