CASSi'rLBiJRRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 27, 2010 -Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 of 19 <br />Introduction: Resolution 10-2171 provides for an agreement with SRS, Inc. to provide emergency debris <br />management services for the City effective October 1, 2010 and remain in effect until November 1, 2013 with <br />the option oftwo one-year extensions. This agreement will allow for emergency road clearing, hazardous tree, <br />tree stump and tree removal, and right-of--way debris management following adebris-generating occurrence <br />such as a hurricane or other catastrophic event. In an effort to ensure rapid response time and available <br />resources to the City, three vendors were selected to provide this service in the capacity of primary, secondary, <br />and tertiary. <br />Budget Impact: The City has secured pricing per the activity that will be performed and will be in effect for <br />the duration of the agreement. Per FEMA guidelines, most funds expended will be reimbursable to the City <br />provided correct documentation and reporting of the expenditures are submitted to FEMA. In the event of a <br />qualifying emergency during the contract period, a budget amendment will require approval by the City <br />Commission to authorize spending out of fiord balance reserves. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Administrative Services Director recommended approval of <br />Resolution 10-2171. <br />F.
