Mayors/Managers Group Report -Mayor Glancy <br />Mayor Glancy stated she is serving on a Mayor's task force which will be communicating with LYNX and <br />Metroplan regarding moving some funds into mass transit funding for the area. <br />D. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County~CALNO) Repol•t - <br />Commissioner Hufford <br />Commissioner Hufford reported that Altamonte Springs Commissioner Steve Wolfiam was selected as the new <br />Chair of CALNO at the January 6, 2010 meeting. Commissioner Hufford also commented on the tour of the <br />Altamonte Springs Information Technologies Depal•lment conducted at the meeting and the amount of revenue <br />that comes into Seminole County by the sports development achievements facilitated by the Tourist <br />Development Council, which she serves on as a representative of CALNO. <br />E. Seminole County Redevelopment Planning Agency Repol-t -Vice Mayor Solomon <br />Commissioner Solomon stated the December 17, 2009 meeting was held in the Casselberry City Commission <br />Chambel•s and highlighted some of the design mini grants approved at the meeting, and noted that some <br />discussion was held on the extension of the Casselberly and County CRA's. <br />1 CITY AAGE'S PORT <br />Announced the City of Casselberly was selected, along with ten other communities, byAr~zer•ical~ City <br />& CoZ+~~ty Magazif~e as one of the 2009 America's Crown community recipients in recognition of <br />outstanding leadership in local government for the Gee Creek Erosion Control Project. Entries were <br />judged on uniqueness, short and long term value to the community and effective/innovative financing. <br />Repol•ted staff has been meeting with City of Longwood regarding the Milwee annexation, and the <br />matter is going to be discussed at the January 18, 2010 Longwood City Commission meeting. <br />Announced that she will be moving the Purchasing Agent from the Finance Department to the <br />Administrative Services in order for the Finance Depalment to be able to concentrate on financial <br />forecasting. <br />15.
